France Motor glider

-History

Aérostructure company, located at Saint Loubès, near Bordeaux, started the study of PLM 80 (Planeur Leger Motorisé) known later as Lutin 80, a single-seat motor glider with a configuration which recalls that of the Polish SZD-45 Ogar of the 1970s, cantilever mid-wing monoplane, T tailplane, of laminated glassfibre/epoxy resin construction. Wings and horizontal tail are detachable for transportation and storage.
Luntin 80 flew for the first time on 3 May 1983.
Only two specimens were built. The prototype will not obtain certification and the aircraft will be canceled.
The two aircrafts are generously entrusted to the Conservatoire in 1994 by the owner/constructor.
